Adam Sobocienski

Hitting Instructor, Vision & Cognitive Trainer, Ages 12-and up

Adam brings more than 20 years of experience working with hitters at every level—from youth to pro. A former D1 player who holds certifications in 3D Motion Capture Analysis, Vision & Cognitive Training, Performance Training, and Force Plate Analysis, Adam blends proven teaching techniques with advanced technology.

Adam’s strength lies in identifying and correcting what’s holding a hitter back—whether physical, cognitive or technical. His approach goes beyond swing mechanics and drills—he focuses on building the complete Hitter, teaching players how to truly hit, not just swing the bat.


Baseball Highlights

  • High School (Barrington HS): 2x All-Conference, All-Area, All-State selections, State Champion, 2x All-State Tournament Selection. Career varsity batting average of .420 with 13 HRs. Played under Hall of Fame coach Kirby Smith.
  • College (University of Minnesota): All-Big Ten DH selection, All-Big Ten Tournament DH selection, Big Ten Champion, Starting DH hitting .351 for the 13th-ranked Gophers, .317 Career Average, Played in back-to-back College World Series Regionals under Hall of Fame coach John Anderson.

Aaron Reesh

Instructor, Hitting, fielding infield

Aaron brings nearly 10 years of coaching experience, specializing in both hitting and infield development. His approach is intense but personalized—he believes every player needs to be pushed in different ways to get the most out of their abilities. Aaron focuses on approach at the plate, not just swing mechanics, and in the infield he draws on his own playing experience to teach every position on the infield.

A standout in high school, Aaron was a 4-year starter at shortstop for East Palestine High School in Ohio, earning multiple MVP honors, three batting titles, and All-Conference/All-Area recognition. He finished with a career batting average over .500 and was named Scholar Athlete of the Year.

At the collegiate level, Aaron was a 4-year starter at the University of Dayton, where he played in 221 of 222 career games, hitting .300 for his career. He was named Rookie of the Year, a 2-time Team Captain, and left UD ranked among the top 5 all-time in home runs, hits, RBIs, runs, doubles, and walks. He also starred in the NECBL, earning Wood Bat League All-Star honors.

Today, Aaron continues to share his passion for the game as a coach with Hit Dogs Illinois out of Naperville and as a scout for USA Baseball’s Midwest NTIS program. His blend of playing experience and coaching intensity gives athletes both the knowledge and motivation to perform at their best.

Nate Gray

Instructor, Hitting, Fielding outfield

Nate brings years of experience as both a player and a coach, with a background that spans multiple sports and a strong focus on baseball development. Originally from Johnson Creek, Wisconsin, Nate was a standout three-sport athlete in high school, earning All-Conference and All-Area honors in football, basketball, and baseball, and was named Athlete of the Year. On the baseball field, he was an All-State performer before continuing his career at Beloit College, where he played both baseball and football. He later finished his collegiate playing career at Concordia University (River Forest).

Nate’s coaching career has been just as impactful as his playing days. He is the former Barrington High School Varsity hitting coach and  the Head Coach for Barrington American Legion Post 158, where he led the team to a State Championship in 2014. Over his first three years, his Legion teams compiled an impressive 93–32 record. In addition to baseball, Nate has also been an assistant football coach at Barrington High School, working with wide receivers.

Nate brings an energetic and disciplined approach to training, helping athletes not only refine their skills but also understand how to compete at a high level. His multi-sport background gives him a unique perspective on athletic development, and his track record as both a player and coach speaks for itself.

Mark Romer

Baseball/Softball Instructor, Hitting

Mark brings decades of experience as both a standout player and coach. A Springfield, Illinois native, he starred at Springfield High School, earning All-City and All-Conference honors as both a junior and senior before moving on to Lincoln Land Community College. At Lincoln Land, Mark set school records in at-bats, runs, hits, triples, and total bases, and was named to the NJCAA All-America Team in 1988.

From there, he accepted a full scholarship to Coastal Carolina University, where he made an immediate impact. In just two seasons, Mark stole 66 bases and helped Coastal to 73 wins, earning All-Big South Conference honors twice, Big South All-Tournament Team recognition in both seasons, and in 1990 was named Big South Player of the Year. He capped off his career by being named to the All-South Carolina Collegiate Team and the Big South All-Decade Team for the 1990s.

After his playing days, Mark stayed at Coastal as an assistant baseball and softball coach before being inducted into both the Coastal Carolina University Hall of Fame and the Lincoln Land Community College Hall of Fame. His background as a player and coach gives him a wealth of knowledge to share with the next generation of athletes.

Elissa Wisniewski

Softball/Baseball Instructor, Hitting, Pitching, Fielding

A standout pitcher at both the high school and collegiate levels, Elissa Wisniewski brings years of competitive experience and a proven track record of success.

At Winona State University, she was a four-year starter (2003–2006) who helped lead her team to NSIC Championships in 2004 and 2006, and a NSIC Tournament Championship in 2003. She made two NCAA Regional appearances and earned 1st Team All-Tournament honors in 2006. Over her career, she finished top three in nearly every major pitching record for both single season and career, while leading the conference in wins and strikeouts in 2003 and ERA in 2006. She was also a two-time selection to the USSSA All World Team.

Before college, Elissa was a four-year varsity starter at Stevenson High School, where she helped her team capture four straight conference titles, three regional championships, and two sectional championships. Individually, she was a two-time 1st Team All-State selection (1999, 2002), a 1st Team All-Area and All-Conference honoree every season, and was named Player of the Year in 2000. She also earned a spot in the prestigious Super 60 Showcase. To this day, she holds several IHSA AA State records, including most wins, while ranking in the top five in shutouts, ERA, and strikeouts.

With such a decorated career at both levels, Elissa brings not only high-level playing experience but also a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed on the mound.

Marc Llanes

Instructor, Hitting, Fielding, Pitching, Catching, Speed & Strength

With over 45 years of experience as a player and a coach, Marc is a dedicated baseball instructor passionate about developing fundamentally strong athletes. 


Marc is a former NCAA Division1 collegiate outfielder-pitcher who played at the University of Evansville and the College Of St. Francis. In 1991, Marc was invited to tryout for Team U.S.A., coached by Ron Polk, Jerry Kendall and Ed Cheff. Marc also competed against Team Toshiba of Japan as part of the annual International Baseball tournament team held up in Canada. Prior to his collegiate career, Marc was a 3-year Varsity player at St. Viator H.S.where he received All-Area, ESCC All-Conference, team MVP and All-Catholic League accolades. Marc was also a 3-year starter for the Rolling Meadows American Legion team and attended MLB tryouts with the Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds and San Diego Padres. 


Marc has coached at various levels, including 9+ years of coaching youth travel baseball, 27+ years of private-group instruction and is currently going on his 8th year of coaching high school baseball. Marc is currently the Assistant Varsity Baseball coach at Huntley High School after having coached at Burlington Central H.S. and Marian Central Catholic High School. Marc also creates speed, strength and conditioning programs specifically designed for baseball players. Known for his positive, no nonsense coaching style, Marc focuses on strong fundamentals, mental toughness and preparation for success at the high school and collegiate baseball levels.   


Marc’s proven success and endless pursuit of knowledge helps him bring a personalized, student-athlete-first approach to every training session. 


Marc is a member of the ABCA (American Baseball Coaches Association), IHSBCA, USA Baseball, Positive Coaching Alliance and specializes in hitting, fielding, pitching, catching and speed-strength training.  


AJ Christoffer

Instructor, Hitting, Fielding

About AJ Christoffer

AJ Christoffer is passionate about teaching the game the right way, with a focus on proper hitting instruction and building confidence in young athletes.


A former 3-year varsity starter at Barrington High School, AJ earned 2x All-Conference and All-Area honors before moving on to play at Rock Valley College, where he was an All-Conference selection.


With years of private instruction experience, plus time as the Head Freshman Coach at Barrington High School and a travel team coach across multiple age groups


AJ knows how to connect with players and help them succeed at every level.
